Recent Supabase Updates
Supabase: Upgrade Postgres to fix local time for Vancouver, Edmonton, and Casablanca
This Supabase release addresses an outdated tzdata package in older Postgres versions, resolving incorrect local time conversions for specific zones including America/Vancouver, Africa/Casablanca, and America/Edmonton. The fix ensures accurate `AT TIME ZONE` results for affected projects running versions prior to 15.19.0.003 or 17.11.0.003, with existing stored data and timestamps remaining unaffected.
OpenTelemetry traces and metrics in the Supabase .NET SDK
Supabase has added native OpenTelemetry traces and metrics support to its .NET SDK using System.Diagnostics, allowing zero-overhead observability across Auth, Postgrest, Storage, and Functions clients. Developers can now seamlessly integrate Supabase client telemetry into their existing OpenTelemetry pipelines without forcing direct package dependencies.
Supabase: An outdated subset of TLS 1.2 ciphers will be disabled on project HTTP APIs
Supabase is removing four outdated CBC-mode TLS 1.2 cipher suites on project HTTP APIs starting November 10, 2026. Clients running on end-of-life operating systems or legacy embedded devices that do not support modern GCM or ChaCha20 ciphers will lose HTTP API access.
ASP.NET Core dependency injection for the Supabase .NET SDK
Supabase has released the Supabase.Extensions.DependencyInjection package to simplify .NET SDK integration. It introduces the AddSupabase extension method to automatically register the main client and all sub-clients with a scoped lifecycle.
The Supabase .NET SDK is now officially supported
Supabase has adopted the .NET SDK (supabase-csharp) as a first-party, officially supported library maintained by their core team. Developers can now build .NET applications with guaranteed feature parity, regular updates, and direct engineering support.
