Why Upgrading from EOL Versions is Critical
Once an open-source branch reaches End-of-Life, upstream maintainers no longer backport patches for Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs). Automated botnets routinely scan for publicly known exploits on unsupported runtime versions.
